Great Shift: Police Story

Detective Connor Mahoney adjusted his clothes, put on his badge and was getting ready to go. His wife Brenda arrived in the room to say goodbye. He looked at her, trying to showcase more his badge.

"What do you think, honey? Do I still look professional?" he asked in his now high-pitched voice.

"Well, I guess as professional as you can be with those jugs of yours...And maybe the make-up is a tad excessive, don't you think?" replied Brenda.

"Amy did it for me...She said it highlights my eyes," murmured Connor, feeling mortified at his wife talking about his chest or his make-up.

"Well, you shouldn't ask your teenage daughter, but your adult wife for make-up tips. You know she was always too showy, no?" said Brenda.

"I guess...I didn't want to disturb you, I noticed you had a rough night and I decided to leave you rest. Plus, Amy is still so clingy about everything female that I thought it was good for her," said Connor.

Brenda smiled: "Eventually she'll get used to be a man, I'm sure," she paused and patted her shifted belly "And thank you for leaving me in bed, I don't know if it's the new body or the baby, but she hardly ever stops rolling! Now go and arrest some perps. I'm sure the Great Shift has not wholly changed attitudes among criminals!"

Connor faintly smiled. He wanted to share Brenda's optimism. In reality he was terrified of going back to work. The shift happened while Connor and the rest of the Vice Squad was raiding a strip club and he got shifted into one of the strippers. He wasn't sure he was going to ever be taken seriously as a cop anymore. As his boss joked, at least now he had the perfect body to work undercover in Vice.
